Straight Transfers
The shelf life of magnetic tapes such as VHS is limited. Over time, the quality of videotapes degrade - whether you play them or not.
In order to maintain the best quality possible, we allow a maximum of 1 hour 10 minutes of VHS footage per DVD.
Footage Fairy transfer VHS to DVD at a cost of £16 per 1 hour and 10 minutes of VHS. This includes postage of your VHS and DVD back to you. If you only need a part of a VHS transfered, please contact footage fairy for an individual quote.
We can also add menu's to your footage at a cost of £5. Menu's allow you to jump to certain parts of your footage quickly amd easily.
There are very few of us who don't have embarrassing school plays or sports days on VHS. Maybe you made an appearance on TV and your proud parents taped the event! Don't be shy, now is the time to face the past and laugh (or cry!) at how you looked in days gone by.
* If you choose not to transfer your VHS tapes, ensure you keep them out of sunlight and store them in a cool, dark place to lengthen their shelf life.
