Female videographers are quite a rare breed yet a perfect choice to blend in during those girly bridal preparations. As an ex bride herself, Karen knows how important flattering shots are to a bride and does her utmost to ensure that only the most beautiful images are used. She is also sensitive to emotionally charged moments, using her intuition to know when (and when not) to film.

In addition to various emails going back and forth in the run up to the big day, Karen will ask couples to complete a detailed 'fact finding questionnaire' a month or so before the wedding.  She will then have at least one consultation meeting with the bride and groom in order to get to know their personalities and to discuss any concerns that they may have.  Wherever possible, Karen also likes to attend the wedding rehearsal.

footage fairy has no set formula when it comes to wedding videos.  It can be as sentimental, modern, playful, funky or wacky as a couple want. A couples' choice of music normally helps to establish the kind of style that best suits them. 

footage fairy chooses to adopt the unobtrusive, 'reportage style' of wedding day shooting. Karen films the natural course of events, never staging them. Couples will never be asked to pose (there is enough of that for the photographer) and guests will not be made to feel uncomfortable with a camera in their face .. . that's what a zoom lens is for!
